I knew this couple was going to be a lot of fun as they pulled up to our meeting on bicycles, and patiently waited outside the wrong Starbucks because, in classic Winnipeg fashion, I’d gone to the other one across the city. By the time I arrived, they were already smiling and completely unfazed. That set the tone for everything that followed — relaxed, lighthearted, and full of heart.

From the moment we started talking, I could tell Heather and Andy were beautifully in sync. Heather is the kind of person who instantly lights up any room — charismatic, full of energy, and incredibly down-to-earth. Andy is her calm counterpart — grounded, kind, and quietly supportive. Together, they create the kind of balance that feels effortless, like they’ve always known each other.

Partway through the night, the dance floor had not one, but two brides. Why? Because as it turns out, a friend of theirs was also getting married — right across the hall! Naturally, the parties merged, and soon guests from both weddings were dancing and celebrating together. Two brides, two grooms, one unforgettable night. I mean, how could you not love that?
