Here are some of my favourites from this awesome summer engagement session. Navi and Vicky were a lot of fun and very easy going. I can’t wait to photograph there wedding as I’m sure their photos are just going to be stunning. We were very lucky to get some gorgeous golden light during this engagement session and their warm smiles and connection did the rest.

Summer engagement sessions can bring lots of colour and greenery to your photos. But the temperature has to be the best reason as people are generally more relaxed. As long as you protect yourself from the bugs and it’s the right time of day you’ll have the perfect time for photos.

Another beautiful part of Winnipeg is the sunsets and how gorgeous they are here. In other provinces the mountains may be beautiful but they hide the sunsets. So it’s always great to take advantage of it here in Manitoba.

The best part of these sessions are obviously the photos where there’s no pressure. Unlike a wedding it can be chaotic and rushed. You also probably couldn’t lay down in your dress or do piggy back rides. So getting these unique photos of yourselves are really important as it’s an important part of your lives.

Another great thing about these engagement session is that we get to know each other a lot better. For Vicky and Navi they said that now they understand how it’s going to be during the wedding. So it was like practice.

Having a summer engagement session could be because you have a winter wedding. So you just want some variety in your photos. There are a number of reasons and you should really think about what you two really desire and why.
