St Boniface Golf Course Wedding

St Boniface Golf Club Wedding – Mike + Jenny

This beautiful St Boniface Golf Club Wedding is of Mike and Jenny who are from Chinese backgrounds. Therefore we started off at the parent’s home with tea ceremonies. For example, in the photo below, the couple first goes to each other’s house and offers the elders tea in exchange for their blessings. This is a custom in the Chinese culture and just like in the Indian culture they also have door games.

The groom isn’t so lucky when it comes to entering the bride’s home. They have to play various games which can involve embarrassing moments. In this case, the guys had to pass a piece of seaweed paper across to each other only using their mouths. You can imagine what that looks like and how the guys felt. But they know what they signed up for and were great sports.

The games didn’t end there. Mike had to guess his bride’s hand among the many other women at the reception. I guess it was better than another wedding where the bride had to feel the groomsmen’s butt’s to guess her groom lol. The games are clever and can go in any direction which is really funny and get the crowd involved.

St Boniface Golf Club Wedding Portraits

With a quick cheer after the wedding, we headed off to do portraits. The golf course was being used so we didn’t end up staying to do portraits there. Instead, we ended up going to the Legislature building and the Hamilton building for there photos. Which resulted in some beautiful ones like below.
