Exciting And Emotional Sikh Society Indian Wedding
Gina and Puneet’s Indian Wedding at Sikh Society Manitoba and Fort Garry Hotel – A Reflection of Sikh Society Indian Wedding Traditions
Gina and Puneet’s Sikh Society Indian wedding was a splendid fusion of tradition, love, and festivity, beginning with a series of vibrant pre-wedding events. The festivities kicked off with a lively Mehndi ceremony at Gina’s home, where intricate henna designs adorned her hands and feet. Friends and family gathered, singing and dancing to celebrate the bride-to-be, while the air was filled with the sweet scent of mehndi and the joyous sounds of laughter and music.
This Sikh Society Indian Wedding is a true representation of cultural richness and family values, and Gina and Puneet’s celebration exemplified these cherished traditions.
Meanwhile, Puneet’s family hosted a spirited Sangeet and Jaggo event at their home. The night was alive with colorful decor, energetic dance performances, and melodious songs, creating an atmosphere of pure merriment. These pre-wedding events set the tone for the grand celebrations to come, building excitement and anticipation for the wedding day.
Sikh Wedding Ceremony
The Sikh wedding ceremony itself took place at the Sikh Society Manitoba, a serene and sacred venue. The bride, Gina, looked resplendent in her traditional red bridal attire, while Puneet was the epitome of elegance in his sherwani. The indoor ceremony was a beautiful blend of Sikh rituals and heartfelt moments, as the couple did their lavan.
Langar
After this beautiful Sikh Society Indian wedding ceremony all the guests were invited to the Langar hall for a delicious meal together. After we finished we headed over to the legislature building for their couples photos where made some amazing photographs together. Also if you haven’t seen my wedding resources page, take a look as it has tons of helpful information.
Once we finished up their photoshoot we headed to Gina’s home where Puneet had to make a roti and shoot a tiny basketball into a kids net to get in the house. Once inside they enjoyed some tea and sweets with all the family members. Thereafter, Gina’s family gave their blessings to the happily married couple and Gina said her good byes to her family. I really love the emotion shown between her and her mother. You can definitely feel how much they love each other and super grateful to be able to capture these intimate moments for them.
Indian Wedding Reception at Fort Gary Hotel
Following the wedding day, the festivities continued the next day with a grand reception at the historic Fort Garry Hotel. The majestic venue provided a stunning backdrop for the celebration, with its timeless elegance and grandeur. Guests were treated to a sumptuous feast, heartfelt speeches, and lively dancing. Gina and Puneet, now officially husband and wife, radiated happiness as they shared their first dance, surrounded by the love and support of family and friends. This was one of five wedding receptions at the Fort Gary Hotel this year and they were all special. Here’s another one.
