Unforgettable 3 Day Niagara Falls Wedding
Creating Unforgettable Memories: A Niagara Falls Wedding
Some weddings stay with you. Not just because of the details or the location, but because of the people, the love, and the emotion that fills every part of the day. Marta and Gurjeet’s Niagara Falls wedding was one of those.
Held over three incredible days between April 24th and 26th, this destination Niagara Falls wedding brought together cultures, families, and stories from across the border. Marta, who is Polish and originally from Cleveland, Ohio, and Gurjeet, who is Punjabi and from Brampton, Ontario, met while working at the same hospital in the U.S. Their journey led them to say their vows in Canada, right in the heart of Niagara Falls.
Catholic Wedding Ceremony
Day one began with a Catholic ceremony at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in St. Catharines. As Marta walked down the aisle, you could see the emotion hit Gurjeet. He wiped away a tear, and you could feel the weight and joy of that moment. Surrounded by loved ones and framed by the stained glass of the church, their ceremony was moving and full of heart.
Afterward, we made our way to Oakes Garden Theatre for portraits. The evening light wrapped around them perfectly. The architecture, the quiet smiles, and that soft golden hour glow made every frame feel like a dream.
Niagara Falls Wedding Reception at Watermark Restaurant
That night, the celebration continued at the Watermark Restaurant which is beautiful restaurant high up in the sky. This is one of those wedding venues in Niagara Falls that has such a beautiful view of the falls. The traditional Polish bread and salt welcome was a lovely touch as they entered. Right after that Marta and Gurjeet shared their first dance as husband and wife here and also Marta’s father-daughter dance was touching to witness as well. Then Gurjeet did something that truly made the room pause — he sang to her. You could feel how much that meant. But Marta wasn’t done either. She surprised him with tickets to see the Lumineers in Spain for their honeymoon. His reaction was priceless.
The next evening, Brasa Restaurant lit up for their Jaggo and Haldi night. The colours, the energy, the dancing — it was such a celebration. There’s something special about seeing two families blend their traditions with so much joy and acceptance.
Day three started early at the Hilton Fallsview in one of the most stunning bridal suites overlooking the falls. The energy was calm but full of anticipation. Gurjeet looked every bit the royal groom in his sherwani and turban. Marta was equally radiant in her traditional Sikh bridal attire. They had their Anand Karaj at Gurudwara Shahidgarh Sahib in Hamilton. The spiritual depth of the ceremony was beautiful, serene, and grounding. Their families sat together in reverence, witnessing a sacred bond.
From there, we moved to Niagara Parks Botanical Gardens for more wedding portraits. The blooming flowers, lush greenery, and vibrant colours mirrored the joy of the day. One moment that stood out — a quiet embrace beneath an arch of orchids. It was one of those shots that didn’t need direction. They were just there, together, completely in love.
The final Niagara Falls wedding celebration took place at the Marriott Niagara Falls. With golden drapery and candles setting the mood, they celebrated hard. At one point, Gurjeet was lifted on shoulders with the crowd roaring with laughter. It was electric.
I flew in from Winnipeg with my second photographer Lucky a day before, and we flew out the day after the wedding — tired but so fulfilled. This Niagara Falls wedding was the perfect start to a packed spring of engagements and weddings. But more than that, it reminded me why I do this — to witness love in its truest form, to capture it honestly, and to share it with the world.
Marta and Gurjeet, thank you for trusting us to tell your story. What a beautiful, unforgettable three days it was.
