After wrapping up a stunning weekend shooting in Banff and photographing Navi and Jessica’s wedding celebrations, I made a quick trip to Edmonton — and I’m so glad I did. On a quiet Sunday afternoon in April, I reunited with Shaminder and Jasmin for their Edmonton engagement shoot, and we couldn’t have asked for better weather.

Coming from Winnipeg, where winter was holding on way too long and spring felt like one endless rainstorm, the sunshine and warmth in Alberta felt like a much-needed reset.

We kicked off the session on a sunlit parkade rooftop, soaking in the golden light. Edmonton has its share of hidden gems, and this was one of them — wide open skyline, clean lines, and just the right amount of breeze to bring movement into the shots.

From there, we made our way to Alchemy, a beautifully designed cocktail bar that Shaminder and Jasmin had scouted.
