Love At Assiniboine Park Wedding
Assiniboine Park Wedding Celebration at the Pavilion
The lovely pair had two wedding ceremonies to honour their union in each of their cultural traditions. One took place at Polo Park Canada Inns, and the other was held at Assiniboine Park Pavilion. The newlyweds chose to have two wedding ceremonies to commemorate their love in both of their cultural backgrounds. The initial ceremony occurred at Polo Park Canada Inns, while the second celebration took place at Assiniboine Park Pavilion. The couple incorporated elements from each of their respective traditions into both ceremonies, creating a unique and meaningful experience for all attendees. The decision to host two ceremonies allowed the couple to pay homage to their diverse heritages and showcase the blending of their cultural identities through the joyful occasion. The Assiniboine Park Pavilion served as a picturesque setting for the couple to exchange vows and begin their journey as a married couple.
Many couples dream of getting married on a beautiful day at gorgeous venue like the the pavilion at Assiniboine and for Affy and Emmy, that dream became a beautiful reality. As one of the top venues, this pavilion at Assiniboine park was unforgettable for both the couple and their guests.
Affy and Emmy have been together for 10+ years and this day was a long time coming their family and friends say. They met at a hotel where Emmy worked and Affy was there to pick up a friend. After striking up a conversation you can say the rest was history.
After Covid moved their wedding dates it was difficult to find a second photographer to photograph their wedding along side me. This has been a problem for a lot of photographers who now have had to scramble after restrictions were lifted and wedding dates changed. However I’ve photographed weddings for almost 10 years now and have photographed them by myself before so I was ready for the challenge.

Also this wedding could have been a lot more different. Affy mentioned many times that a lot of his family was missing from the wedding who live in the United States and wish they could have come to celebrate. However with the current Covid situation it’s hard for everyone to travel at the moment. With that said they managed to stream it or record it the best they could. Maybe one day they’ll have a bigger celebration one year where everyone can travel again.
The no dancing rule was also something that has changed weddings this year so that was interesting and a bummer.
Assiniboine Park Pavilion Wedding
The Assiniboine Park Pavillion was his favourite part of the wedding Affy said. He really loved the entrances and how smooth everything went. I remember tears flowing from a few family members that day as Emmy walked down the aisle with her father.
Emmy and Affy have such beautiful chemistry. She’s bubbly and he always has a funny comment ready in his pocket. With that said it was a pleasure to photograph these two and get to know them and I look forward to seeing them grow together.
